A look into the future........I hope!

So.....Cainan and Kiki were both in the living room with steering wheels from the wii pretending to drive.
Cainan picks up his phone and says"Hey! What's up?"
Kiki-"Um....where are you at?"
Cainan-"I'm just going home....why? You need something?"
Kiki-"Well......I need you to come get me."
Cainan"O.K. Don't worry.....I'll turn around and I'll be right there."
Kiki-"Thanks Cainan."
Cainan-"No problem!"

They are really excited for Christmas!!!

Kiki's first candy cane...YUMMY:)

Your funny daddy!

I love his expression!

I haven't thought about updating this for a while, but now I have a little more time than usual. We have started our Christmas Break with finishing up the last minute shopping and getting Riley's haircut. Tomorrow we are going to make a gingerbread house....should be fun. I can't believe how fast the year has gone and how big my kids are getting! I'm really going to try even harder to just make time....to really pay attention to my life and treasure every minute.

Getting ready to head out to find a pumpkin...

Cainan was determined to pull the wagon the whole way out there....

Kiki was facinated with all of the roots...as she tripped over them, so said, "Oh, excuse me flower!"

I LOVE my BABY:)
and the whole way back....

Washing the pumpkins....that water was SOOOOOO cold....BRRRRRR!!!!!

Today we braved the 40 degree weather and went to Curtis Orchard to the Pumpkin Patch. We had a fun picking out our pumpkins, washing them off, and of course getting some donuts and carmelcorn. I can't believe that we forget we have such an awesome place to go to....there are so many other fun things to do there! Hopefully, we'll have another nice weekend sometime soon and we can go back to pick apples and just play!

We went and got Kiki her first big girl bike tonight. She was SO excited and when we got home Dennis had to put it together for her right away! She took it for a test ride in the garage b/c it was raining out. If you didn't notice already....check out her "Hello Kitty" slippers....everything about her is just so cute:)

I can't say it's been an easy start to the school year.....
A LOT OF GOOD and a little bit bad.....
Cainan started soccer today and had a great time!!! He is getting so tall and grown up looking...he's grown 2 inches since April.....but Kiki has grown 2 inches since July!!!!! She is getting to be so tall too and definately a diva. I took off Friday, so we are having a good 4 day weekend together.............
Now on a more serious note....if you haven't heard already Cainan had an unfortunate start to school this year (his teacher left him unsupervised two days in a row feeling very scared and nervous) and after much prayer and consideration.....we have decided to not have him return. My mom and I are going to work together to homeschool him this year and then look at private schools next year if he doesn't get into Bottenfield. It's been a very hard couple of weeks, but I'm so fortunate to have two happy, healthy kids....a wonderful husband who is so supportive and a mom and dad who I couldn't live without....THANK YOU ALL:)

Well, today was my last day of summer and we had lots of fun!!! We played outside at home for a while, then called to see if Dennis could meet us for lunch.....we met at Hessel Park....ate and played in the water. Cainan and Kiki had a blast!!!!! I have to say that I will miss all the time with them, but I'm really ready to go back to work. Cainan will start school on Friday and is SO excited. It's so good to see him excited about something and I can't wait for all the stories he'll have to tell about his days at school:)
